A black comedy completely attached to the oral stage

Let us not be fooled: People have issues. Unresolved issues. Makis also has issues. Makis, a lawyer in his thirties. His case could have come from a book by a first-year psychology student: “psychosis and obsession with the mother’s face”. Makis suffers from the well-known and beloved “Oedipus complex”. That’s why his steps lead him to Antigone’s office. Antigone is a psychologist. Approaching thirty. And she just opened her new doctor’s office. Antigone wants to help him. That is why she accepts him without an appointment, violating any professional ethics. Antigone, however, is human…. And what about people? They have issues. Unresolved issues. And this will inevitably lead to a conflict of issues. In a thematic conflict, one might say. Who will be the winner? Can there even be a winner? The answer may surprise you. Or not.

Mother F * cker: A black comedy completely attached to the oral stage. A show for those who have issues with their mom. Or their dad. Or with their relationships. A show for everyone, that is. So keep your positions up to date. Demand is projected to be high…

chOr [P] US visual: I “see” the sound or “hear” the image

chOr [P] US visual: I “see” the sound or “hear” the image
Beyond the limits of a vocal ensemble and with the sound finding its “visual” identity, the “chOrPUS visual” creates a peculiar amalgam of sound and movement. The newly formed artistic group is exactly what its name implies: “Chorus” voices, fortified in “Corpus” bodies, in a “opus visual” work.

Sound moves in space and time. and its stopping leaves imprints. So why can’t we see them? How is it possible to feel its traces? These basic questions of the composer and conductor Evangelia Velli-Kosma (VaVell) led her to a multi-year systematic research. The first answers were given by physics: Since waves, both visual and acoustic, have common features and properties, they can be one and the same event.

And so a new system was born that “breaks” the music code, deconstructs the sound and redefines it as an image, creating a new challenge: music and movement are now an art! Until now, the arts have served each other, creating new styles and trends, or even giving birth to new arts. But one always complemented the other and certainly some were superior.

The chOrPUS visual team proposes an equal association of music and movement, its performers trace the paths to empathy!

Samuel Beckett’s “first love”

Samuel Beckett’s “first love”
“I would need other loves, maybe. But no one orders love. What we call love, is the exile with a postcard from the homeland from time to time, that’s how I feel tonight “.
Samuel Beckett.

Director’s note:
Beckett’s “First Love” is a love of mine, which began a few years ago, during the studies in the workshop of Akis Davis.

That imaginary world we create to stop feeling alone, there are periods in our lives that become our greatest love. It becomes our world that we turn in him or he around us. “It does not prove anything, but I do not want to prove anything.”

Poetic theater by a poet-writer. Against the “poisonous trivia” of everyday life as Beckett writes. And in a way of life, full of first loves.

“Station A B C – Makronisos” Struggles, loves, values and choices under the shadow of exile.
Station A B C – Makronisos
Struggles, loves, values and choices in the shadow of exile.

Real confessions of people who experienced exile in Chios, Trikeri, Gyaros, Ikaria and the inferno of Makronissos come to light. The attitude of everyone in exile is separate, an attitude of a whole life. A project that is up-to-date, realistic and intertwined with the current crisis of values. Values different for everyone, are able to bring us closer to death and survival. An Attitude of Life. A Stop A B C.

The play ‘Station A B C’, written-directed by Maria Barouta, comes to create its own Station, at the FABRIKA Technopark from April 20 and every Wednesday at 21:30 (for 7 performances).

“Vu d’ou” by the theatrical group Luna Cantat

Alexandra was hanged at the age of 25 in her children’s room.
The world around her is more than normal.
The world inside her is distorted.
She could not sleep, those who knew her said that in the last few days she looked tired, talked and blamed 10 women. She claimed that they wanted to kill her.
“I dreamed again”
That’s why I do not sleep, they are chasing me.
They are to blame. But today is different, today they succeeded…
Find them and cut off their hands, so they don’t do it again. ”

4th art festival of the association of students of dance, theater and cinema schools

4th art festival of the association of students of dance, theater and cinema schools
This year, on June 27 and 28, at the Fabrica Technopark, the 4th art festival of the association of students of dance, theater and cinema schools will take place.

Every year an effort is made to make the club’s festival richer and richer, to bring together students from all schools, to share our concerns and passion for art. At the same time this year the festival will take place under the auspices of the Association of Greek Actors, as today’s students are the professionals of tomorrow.

Finally, Tuesday, June 28, will be a day dedicated to refugees, where we will gather food. In the area we will also collect participations from students (and not only), so that on the day of food delivery at the refugee detention center in Scaramanga, activities can be done with the children of refugees. We invite everyone to come, to see our work, to unite our voices, our concerns and our passion.

We are waiting for you

“Dive” Acting How? Performance 2016
We go out in the yard of the Fabrica Art Space… inhale… and dive…

– The club sound is lost. I only hear the sound of your dive.
– The club sound disappears. Summer night bath… Are you still there?
– I want to share this moment with someone.
– Because if I do not share it, what is the point of living it?
– I hold my breath as much as I can.
– In a little while I will run out of oxygen…
– In a little while my heart will stop beating…

“These and many more” by the theatrical team of the “Lighthouse of the Blind of Greece”

“These and many more” by the theatrical team of the “Lighthouse of the Blind of Greece”
Wednesday, June 29 at 9:00 p.m.

The Theatrical Group of the “LIGHTHOUSE OF THE BLIND OF GREECE” presents the modular play “These and many more”

Vangelis Mouroukos undertook the beginning and the finale of the show that satirizes the Greek reality. Then, Gogo Roukoutaki together with Vivi Christodoulou and Maria Kotrotsou take us to an older era with Tennessee Williams’s single “Greetings from Bertha”.

Following is the sketch “A phone call is our life” where we watch 3 phone calls from 3 different people who are Evi Aslanoglou, Maria Kotrotsou and Argyro Tentoma and it seems how much time we waste on topics that could be said in a short time and instead We are talking about wind and water and in the end we may have forgotten why we called our interlocutor.

Vivi Christodoulou and Eleni Gouvatsou take us to America in the 1930s with Tennessee Williams’ solo work “The Dark Room” which shows the ignorance of immigrants and the difficulty to face the truth since they do not know the language of the country hosts, with the result that the whole story makes you laugh and cry together.

The show ends with Gogo Roukoutaki where she presents the life of an old singer of the popular stage who is now ill, does not sing and recalls the old glories she lived on stage. With her is Vangelis Mouroukos who will close the show with a poem by George Souris, to remember once again that from 1886 until today almost nothing has changed. Periklis Mataragas is in charge of the whole show.

Performance duration: 1 hour
Admission free.
