The multiactive art group Fabrica Athens invites theater groups and independent creators to participate in the 2nd Handmade and Recycled Theater Festival that will take place in September 2014 at the Fabrica Artspace(125 Megalou Alexandrou & Evrymedontos).
After the successful effort to highlight, promote and artistically create independent producers of the first festival (October 2013) follows the second version of a larger artistic gathering where it aims to promote performances and participations that will be characterized as handmade and recyclable.
At a time when, due to circumstances and needs, the artist is invited to experiment more than ever with issues beyond his documentary action and to illuminate qualities he would not have undertaken in the past, we invite new groups and creators to highlight their work and come in contact with other artists who have a common way of thinking, perceiving and creating.
The 2nd handmade and recycled theater festival will take place at the renewed Fabrica Artspace and now the field of action of the artists will open. The proposal is open to performances in the field of theater and dance, performance, installation, visual arts and photography, video art, documentaries and short films, circus, children’s theater and puppetry. Applications are open for seminars and will be accepted at: be.with.fabricart@gmail.com until September 5, 2014.
The festival will have, as last year, a committee award, which will select a group to play 8 performances at the Fabrica Athens theater, and an audience award, which will select a group to play 4 performances at the same theater.
