International Research Theatre Laboratory – OSMOSIS
The first Osmosis – International Research Theatre Laboratory comes to the 13th Handmade and Recycled Theatre Festival.
Fabrica Athens, as part of the 13th Handmade and Recycled Theatre Festival (HRTFest), is organizing for the first time the International Research Theatre Laboratory – Osmosis, from 19 to 28 September 2025 at Fabrica Artspace and REKTIFIE – Research Center of Mixed Performing Arts.
It is a ten-day, international workshop with theatre and performing arts presenters from all over the world (Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Denmark, USA), which aims to empower performers, strengthen theatre research and achieve a deeper inter-artistic dialogue and co-creation.
From 9/19-27/2025, participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops in theatre, acrobatic partnering, contact improvisation, dance theatre, butoh, object theatre, stage presence and infant performance creation, with the goal of being equipped with the necessary interpretive tools to participate in the eponymous show, Osmosis – The Performance, on 9/28/2025. OSMOSIS – The Performance will be an open pan-artistic jam with the directorial signature of Fabrica Athens, which will seal the closing ceremony of the Festival.

- Body, conflict, truth: the stage as a political and poetic act – Teatro Nucleo (IT)
- Sculpting Presence | A Psychophysical Approach for Actors – Katerina Drakopoulou (GR)
- The Art of Presence – Teatr Brama (PL)
Those interested can attend the entire ten-day laboratory, as well as individual seminars. Fabrica Athens, always aiming to make the festival’s activities accessible to all social groups, maintains the lowest possible participation fee also for the International Research Theatre Laboratory – Osmosis. The supporters of the programmes and the festival, the Hellenic-German Youth Foundation – DGJW/EGIN, the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Polish Ministry of Culture contribute to this. Participants aged 30 and over: EUR 150
