Crossing / Walking Performance – Residui Teatro | Tuesday, September 22, 6:30 p.m.

At Rectifie Theater – Center for Research in Mixed Performing Arts

“Travesía” invites the audience on a journey filled with memories, songs, and poems from different cultures, which echo through the streets and among the houses.

Sometimes these sounds belong to the places where they are heard; other times, they dwell there invisibly and travel with those people who, due to the circumstances of their lives, are forced to travel, migrate, or flee.

Our “Travesía” consists mainly of traditional songs from countries bordering the Mediterranean, ancient Greek polyphonic chants, and songs from Eastern Europe.

During the tour, the audience will follow the passersby who will fill the streets with music and dance, bringing the past into the present.

The audience, gathered in groups of 35–60 people, will follow us in silence through the city’s corners, searching for “lost time,” but also for an “invisible, hidden” time, the existence of which we sometimes wish to deny. A time that brings us back to who we are, to who we were… eternal wanderers.
