14th Handmade and Recycle Theater Festival – Traces edition
PARTICIPANTS
The 14th HRTFest welcomes, for yet another year, artists and creators from all the arts—both from across Greece and international figures from the worlds of theater and dance who have received numerous European accolades.
Participations from Attica, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Lamia, Crete, Spain, Norway, the United Kingdom, Italy, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Argentina, Mexico, and Canada come together to create a magical sequence of artistic performances.
This year, the historic Potlach troupe will celebrate 50 years of creativity with us. Julia Varley, an actress, theater educator, member of the Odin Theater since 1976, and longtime collaborator of Eugenio Barba, will be a guest of honor; she will present the performance/work demonstration *The Flying Carpet*. Geddy Aniksdal, an actress, director, teacher, and long-time member of Grenland Friteater, as well as Daniel Jacewicz, a theater director, actor, cultural facilitator, theater educator, and founding member of Teatr Brama. Joining us will be the multicultural group Residui Teatro for a unique walking performance through the streets of Metaxourgeio. We also welcome the internationally renowned Cartaphilus Teatro from Mexico, which will participate with performances as well as workshops. Finally, the festival would not be complete without Donald Kitt, a long-time collaborator of Fabrica and a longtime member of the Odin Theater.
