The seminar Making Theater for Very Young (0-3 years old) Audiences with Natasha Mirny , is part of the International Research Theater Laboratory – OSMOSIS, which will be held as part of the 13th HRTFest.<\/p>\n

It is a ten-day, international laboratory with trainers of theater and performing arts from all over the world (Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Denmark, USA), which will end in the creation of the show Osmosis – The Performance: an open artistic jam with the directon of Fabrica Athens, which will seal the closing ceremony of the Festival.<\/p>\n

Workshop Description:<\/p>\n

This workshop will cover important steps and techniques of creating theater for babies and toddlers<\/p>\n

We will explore:<\/p>\n

– how to train the actors to perform for very young people<\/p>\n

– how to work with your voice, sounds and music while devising a show for babies<\/p>\n

– how to use sensory objects in the process of creating your show<\/p>\n

– how to keep the children’s attention for longer<\/p>\n

– how to make your show both artistic and educational experience<\/p>\n

In the process we will be creating and sharing small theater skits.<\/p>\n

During the workshop we will be doing lots of movement exercises.<\/p>\n

Please come in comfortable workout clothes and shoes, you can also work barefoot.<\/p>\n

You can bring children’s books that inspire you to use during the workshop.<\/p>\n

Bio: Natasha Mirny is a stage director, choreographer, teaching artist, and founder of Happy Theater (www.happytheater.com<\/a>). Her background is in pantomime, puppetry, and physical theater. She started her career as a stage director at one of the largest puppet theaters in Moscow, Russia. For the past 10 years Natasha has lived in Washington DC, USA creating shows for children from 0 to 10 years old. Her show To The Clouds, created in 2019, was nominated for Helen Hayes Awards as an outstanding production for young audiences.<\/p>\n
