The multiactive Art Group Fabrica Athens and the German organization Mostar Friedensprojekt invite you to the Training Theater Training Course “Theater of Research”.
“Theater Of Research” is a theatrical methodology
developed by Fabrica Athens in collaboration with Mostar Friedensprojekt.
The methodology allows young theater lovers to create a joint performance in a relatively short time and present it to the general public. Through a specific cycle of workshops, participants will succeed from scratch in research on a variety of theatrical techniques and methods in order to create a new code of theatrical behavior and energy. With reference to Stanislavski, Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, Peter Brook, Suzuki, etc., as well as the acrobatics and techniques of street theater, a new way of creating theatrical works will be achieved.
Mostar Friedensprojekt e.V., Berlin, and Fabrica Athens have developed and applied this methodology in seven different seminars, each of which expresses in one performance the thoughts, intentions and desires of young participating and amateur actors.
In this call we invite organizations, which are interested in participating in a training, in which we will present the Research Theater. Participants will have the opportunity to learn various practices and techniques of Research Theater. The team will be trained on physical plasticity, acrobatics, the technique of stilts, the embodiment of speech, the expansion of the imagination, but also on theatrical techniques developed by Fabrica Athens itself.
The training course and the workshops that will take place in this context, are addressed both to organizations with experience in theatrical and wider artistic practice, as well as to organizations with little or no experience, who wish to use theater and art in their programs. The following is an overview of the fields of Research Theater that will be explored during the training:
