Call for Participation in the Youth Exchange Program – Open Your Eyes, See the Colors
The multiactive Art Group Fabrica Athens and the German organization Mostar Friedensprojekt invite you to the Youth Exchange Program – Open Your Eyes, See the Colors.
The project “Open Your Eyes, See the Colors” is organized by Mostar Friedensprojekt and is funded by the Erasmus + program, Youth in Action. It will take place in Usedom, Germany from September 6 to 15.
It will be attended by young people from 6 different European countries, who within 10 days will have the opportunity to get to know each other, but also to get to know themselves again.
The team of Fabrica Athens, a close associate of the organizer of the organization, uses theatrical techniques as an informal training tool. So, in this program he will undertake the theatrical approach to the theme of the program. At the same time, through a series of theatrical meetings, the instructors of Fabrica Athens will guide the participants in creating a presentation, from their own inspirations.
A few words about the program:
The concepts of diversity and inclusion are two important topics that directly concern the general public. We widely place them as basic conditions for a safe and successful society. Nevertheless, it is observed that social exclusion and discrimination among young people are increasingly on the rise. The reasons that often lead to this phenomenon are the fear and rejection of diversity (religion, social status, sexuality, nationality, etc.).
In this Youth Exchange Program, participants will have the opportunity to meet people from different countries. In addition, each participant will be given the opportunity to challenge himself and get out of the mental bubble he has created for himself and in which he is used to living.
General objectives of the program:
-The young people should be interested in the theme of the specific project.
-To be encouraged to express themselves creatively and to seek through the group their personal suggestions – answers on the subject.
-To learn more and to understand the subject through informal forms of education and theater.
Motivational thinking for the realization of the program is the following: For the one who wants to learn more, we could say “Googl-like it!”, But in the project we say “Learn from others!” or “Explain it to others!”. “You are the one who will open the horizons of the mind to people”, this is the content of the Youth Exchange.
Important information:
The Program is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old. Participation in the Youth Exchange, accommodation, food and transportation costs to and from Germany are free. Participants are invited to purchase their airline tickets, the amount of which will be refunded by the organizing organization.
