The 1st Handmade and Recycled Theater Festival will be held from October 10-15 at the Fabrica Athens theater in Kerameikos. Our need for this Festival arose a year after the integration of the group theater and as has already been said it is a completely independent action.
It is our need at this time to be active and remain artists by whatever means we can. The conditions in the Greek area and specifically in our city give us two margins. Either give up any effort or find other ways to act.
So this particular festival aims to promote all this way of acting but also to bring together people who face art in exactly this way. Creating performances, performing, playing but at the same time designing the sets, taking care of the costumes .. editing everything… alone… and without state subsidies… ..Artistic productions that start from the source..
A step that will bring us all together, against the moral and spiritual crisis.
The festival is open to everyone and is competitive. There will be 2 prizes / committee and audience / and the first 2 teams will play for free at the venue (after the end of the festival) for 8 and 4 performances respectively. During the festival, each team aspires to play around 3-4 performances.
